Robert A. Adelson, Esq.

Robert A. Adelson, Esq. is a partner in the Boston firm of Engel & Schultz, LLP, a 7-attorney general practice law firm in the High Street Office Tower, 125 High Street in Boston's Financial District. As a corporate and tax attorney, Mr. Adelson's clients are early stage technology-based companies, consultants and service providers, and senior executives and key employees. His main practice areas are entity choice, business formation, and capitalization, commercial and strategic contracts, executive employment, stock and options, severance and termination, trademarks and intellectual property protection and licensing, partnerships and joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Adelson received his BA from Boston University, Phi Beta Kappa, his JD from Northwestern University in Chicago, where he was a member of Law Review. He also holds an LL.M in Taxation from New York University.

Mr. Adelson is a frequent lecturer to business and professional groups and is a member of the board of IEEE, Boston Entrepreneurs Network and 128 Innovation Capital Group. Mr. Adelson is also the author of numerous published articles, including articles in Boston Business Journal, Genetic Engineering News, Darwin Magazine, The Culpepper Letter (serving the software industry), Mass High Tech, and Family Business. A member of the Massachusetts and New York bars, Mr. Adelson's work as an attorney has been recognized in articles in the Boston Globe and Boston Herald and in a chapter of the book End of Shareholder Value, published in 2000.
