Tim Dolan

Tim Dolan is the Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Diversity in the Gillette Company's Global Procurement Organization. Tim is currently leading a newly created internal consulting group known as the Knowledge Center within the Global Procurement Organization. This Knowledge Center supports Strategic Sourcing Teams in conducting sourcing training, opportunity assessments, market research, cost and financial analysis and is responsible for managing global and cross divisional spend, savings and key performance indicators. Tim currently manages a team of three Sourcing Analysts.

In addition to managing the Knowledge Center and Sourcing Analysts, Tim is the Program Manager for the Gillette's Supplier Diversity Initiative. In 2002, he led efforts to re-energize Gillette's Supplier Diversity Program by building the team, systems, and processes for program growth. As a result of these efforts and though benchmarking, strategic communications and effective sourcing policy, expenditures with MWBEs is tracking to increase 100% for 2003 from 2002.

Tim has over eight years of procurement and strategic sourcing experience in both the public and private sectors. He spent two years with AT Kearney consulting to Fortune 500 companies on strategic sourcing and procurement transformation strategies. Tim also served in the US Navy as a procurement officer onboard the USS Peleliu and is a graduate of the Navy's Supply Corp School in Athens, GA. Tim currently serves as a Board Member of the New England Minority Supplier Development Council. He has an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management and a bachelor's degree in Government from Harvard University.
