Samuel Dowell, C.P.M.
 

Sam Dowell is Senior Director, Worldwide Procurement at Pfizer. He leads a team of strategic sourcing professionals that collaborate with the Development and Medical organizations to leverage Pfizer's scale and secure best total value from our external spend. Mr. Dowell is the primary architect of Pfizer's eSourcing and reverse auction activities, in the clinical / medical arena, in direct support of Development's broader operational strategies. Mr. Dowell joined Pfizer in 1998, and has held positions of increasing responsibility in both Corporate Finance and Research & Development. Prior to joining Pfizer, he was a member of the Corporate Purchasing staff at Ford Motor Global Headquarters and served as an officer in the United States Navy. Mr. Dowell received his bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in 1987, and subsequently earned his MBA in 1992.
