Cassandra Kelley
Senior Outsourcing Manager, Vertex Pharmaceuticals
 

Cassandra KelleyMs. Kelley has worked in the Pharmaceutical/CRO industry for 10+ years. She spent the first nine years of her career at PAREXEL International, a large global CRO. Ms. Kelley held many positions during her time there, most notably the last four years were spent as a Contract & Proposal Manager. In this role, she was responsible for drafting proposals and budgets, as well as negotiating budgets and contracts upon study award. Ms. Kelly left PAREXEL to start-up a Contract/Proposal group at CRF Inc, a global ePRO provider. During her time there, Ms. Kelley implemented processes around proposals, budgets and contracts, trained new staff and was responsible for all proposals/budgets/contract activities.

In late 2006, Ms. Kelley moved to Vertex Pharmaceuticals in the role of Senior Outsourcing Manager. In this role she is responsible for relationship management (both internal and external); Vendor/Provider Selection; RFI/RFP development; contract/budget negotiation and management; and Change Orders for Clinical projects. Ms. Kelley brings her many years of vendor experience to the clinical outsourcing process within Vertex and has found this foundation very useful in her current role.

Ms. Kelley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
