Jim Limperis, C.P.M., CFPIM
Jim
Limperis, C.P.M., CFPIM is sales manager for Electronic Sheetmetal Craftsmen.
Jim’s responsibilities include developing new customer accounts and supporting
existing customer relationships. Jim was formerly a senior member of the
supply management organization at Motorola for 18 years. Jim’s most
recent role at Motorola was strategic contracts manager responsible for
negotiating contracts with Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers, OEM
and third-party suppliers.
Electronic Buyer’s News (EBN)
selected Jim as one of the Top Ten U.S. Professional Purchasers in 1992.
Jim has been an active member of the Purchasing Management Association of Boston
(PMAB) since 1980, including chairing new member orientation and various
committees. Jim earned his Certified Purchasing Manager’s (C.P.M.)
degree in 1982 and earned his lifetime C.P.M. degree in 1997. Jim has been
a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and
earned the Certified Fellow in Production & Inventory Management (CFPIM)
degree in 1992. Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in management from U-Mass
Lowell (1977) and an MBA from Indiana University (1979).
Jim
is on the Editorial Advisory board for the Supplier Selection & Management
Report (SSMR) and the Purchasing Law Report. Jim has authored several
articles/papers for EBN, The Manufacturer, Institute for Supply Management
(ISM), Purchasing Today, SSMR and Excara.com.
Jim has conducted numerous successful supply chain management workshops for Fortune 500 companies, ISM/APICS affiliates and miscellaneous associations.
